Static Trommel

The Heavy Duty Trommel is designed to withstand the arduous duty that comes with being a primary screen. It still incorporates many of the the proven features of the Static Trommel that were in the original design. The feeder is of the reciprocating type powered by hydraulic cylinders, this gives a controlled feed into the barrel for even the most difficult material. The feed hopper is stiffened with webs and bracings to help prolong its life. The barrel is made up of 2M long sections giving the option to produce up to six products plus oversize.

The Trommel can sit either on concrete foundations with walls to support it or on a skid mounted frame to help reduce foundation costs. Both versions come complete with side platforms to give access to drive and support rollers as well as the feeder area. Feed is either by wheel loader or preferably dumpers, with the hopper capacity sized to the dumper.

Key Features

The Trommel is ideal for the screening of all types of material from quarries, mines and recycling. The design of the barrel helps to make it self cleaning giving the required product at the first attempt. From the cleaning of contaminated material with moisture, dirt and clay to sizing for rip rap and sea defence stone.

All parts of the Hercules design bring a true meaning to Heavy Duty. From the Feed Hopper to the Barrel, all components are designed around its arduous life expectancy. We expect our machine to still be working for you in twenty years time.

The machine is shipped by either containers or trailers. Once on site these parts can be pre-assembled into large sections for further assembly onto the foundations. Giving an on-site build time of 3 to 5 days.

The feed hopper is manufactured with ribs and bracings to ensure it's more than capable of withstand tipping loading's. Optional extensions increase the size of the hopper to suit varying sizes of dumper. The reciprocating feeder is powered by hydraulic cylinders and gives a controlled feed into the barrel. The feeder has proven itself to be best suited for all types of materials.

The barrel is driven directly by a minimum of two of the support rollers. These are fitted with hydraulic motors which offer full control of the rotation of the barrel to suit the application. The rollers are heavy duty and have been designed to withstand both the loading of the material and also the tumbling action of large pieces of rock.

All Hercules Trommels give high efficiency screening of difficult materials. The  Trommel is a proven technology with low maintenance and no permanent operator. Thus achieving low operating costs and costs per tonne. The design is customisable to suit the application giving the customer full confidence of the machine.
